ACIII Question

I am about to order the ACIII, and I was wondering if Aquanotes was included, or does it have to be purchased separately?

Also, can the ORP port be used for a second pH probe (for running calcium reactor)?

Thanks,

Mike

It is a seperate item. I just got mine a few weeks ago from Premium and they offered it as an add on in a package deal. It is worth noting they had the entire order drop shipped from Neptune. Not sure on the second PH probe.

I love the whole system. Well worth it.

aquanotes is not included and you can use a second ph probe in place of the ORP (have not done it but have read you can)

Orp connector can be used as 2nd PH. I have it set up that way. In the programming the 2nd PH probe is called PH2.

Anyone using the seasonal temperature function, or is everyone just going with a set temperature?

I can't wait for this thing to get here tomorrow.

Mike

I use the seasonal temperature function, seasonal lighting, and moon function.

For the seasonal temperatures, I use the seasonal value as the base (Ie lowest temp) and have a one degree variation. For example, I have my heater turn on if it is below the seasonal temp and shut off one degree above the seasonal temp.

I am using the ACIII without aquanotes and really don't miss it much. If I need a graph I can pull the data into excel.

I use the seasonal lighting as well. I really like it.

Ok,

Got the unit today, and currently I have the feed cycle programmed only to make the wife happy. She no longer has to go to the basement to shut off pumps to feed the fish.

Do I need to use a serial cable to connect Aquanotes to the controller, or can it be done using a web browser? I can log in to the controller via the browser to check status, make programming changes, etc. But I would like to get Aquanotes to work as well.

Thanks,

Mike

On the AC3 use the ethernet cable. What I did was get a wireless g broadband router and then a wireless g gaming adapter. It seems the regular wireless modules use USB but the gaming ones use the ethernet since they are made for xbox and playstations which have the ethernets.

I have it hardwired into my hub, which is then connected to the router. I guess UI have a question on how to setup Aquanotes to connect to the controller using a browser instead of a serial cable.
