ACjr and 2 dc8's

I have a ACjr with one dc8. I just installed a sump room in the basement and want to add another dc8 for those components down there. What do I have to do to add the second dc8? The person I'm buying the dc8 from thought there could be issues with doing that. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Just need to interconnect the 2 using phone line or cat 5. They say like 8' is the longest you can run but people go over 20' with no problems.

AC jr can only run a dc8 and a dc4 can only control 12 devices so to answer your question it wont work need to upgrade to ac3 to control more than that

Alright thanks. I have 2 ACjrs, one thats upstairs and one that I was just going to run the calc reactor and a frag tank lights with a dc 4. I guess I can use that one to control the entire sump room with an additional dc8, and just keep my other ACjr and dc8 upstairs to run the lights and powerheads up there.

what about x 10 my jr will run pretty much unlimited x - 10s

You can only have 12 timers set. Chuggy you could call one timer A4 and set 15 different X-10 modules to A4 and they would all turn on and off at the same time. But you can only do twelve different timer names.

You can run a DC8 + DC8 but 4 outlets are dead ... not even constantly on, just unusable.
You could run DC8+ DC4 or DC8 + 4 X-10.

Cool, Im going to run one ACjr with dc8 and a dc4 in the sump room, and another ACjr with dc8 upstairs at the tank. I could sell the JR's and get something better but I kind of like the idea of having a headunit in each room. Thanks for the help guys!!!
