Ack! Need Trumpet & Galaxea Help!

I just got back from the LFS where I only meant to pick up a couple pieces of LR rubble and some mysis shrimp. I came home with those PLUS two corals that are near-death that I'm hoping I can nurse back to health.

#1 is a galaxea and I think it will pull through; it's got a strip of good flesh about 1/2" x2". Tips for placement?

#2 is a trumpet and there's only one head on it with flesh. Can I (or should I) cut away the dead skeleton? And what about placement? Tips for care? Will it take mysis shrimp?

Any help is appreciated... I'm off to get the dip going.

I have found they do not regrow back on to dead skeleton. I would cut away the dead parts to improve the appearance. In my tank (250w mh lighting) canes and galaxia do well top to bottom, with moderate flow. I feed reef chili and cyclopeze. Both have long sweepers, allow for that with placement.

Do u have lice?they do grow back over old skellaton on the trumpet as long as there is algea o it would clean the dead part with soft toothbruss and galaxies can grow over old skeleton also if it is clean but I need lice.personally lwould cut off the old skeleton on the galaxia and trumpet if it was bad and u have algea in you're tank but only after the coral has settled eaten and shown signs of good health .if u do it now they might not make it but I need to c the pics
