ACK Power out

Ack wife called. Power is out. Ameren web site says it will be back on around 2:45 AM. Any one had experience on how accurate that estimate is? Unfortunately I am at work and don't have a battery powered airpump, it is on my to get list. So wife is turkey bastering water into the tanks every 10 minutes or so to get the water moving and aerated. Any other suggestions? Thanks

Edit...oh yeah I am in 63304 zip. they say 1323 out right now.

nope. on list too. My power NEVER goes out. we are very lucky where we live. something got taken out cuz it is a big outage.

I now have a whole house natural gas back up gen. after the 5 day outage, most local hd's & lowes now have gen's real cheap, most from people who returned them after the storm. Would suggest to all with large systems. Valuecity had a 3500w gen for $200 a few weeks ago.:rollface:

A light on some macro in your main tank adds more oxygen than blowing bubbles of any kind. I saw it in some presentation online from manca. Had charts and everything

Lights powerful enough to generate oxygen in plants would require electricity.

Go to Wallmart, or anyplace with a fishing section, and get a battery bubble box. D cell batteries. $6, insurance for your tank. 800 clownfish juveniles survived in 90 gallons of water for 4.5 days without power using this. Actually several of these, but I have also used one on a 55 gallon reef for a couple of days and everything survived.

power is back on and all the fish are good. power came back on at about 6:30 this morning. about 8 hours total outage. I am very sleepy lol.
