I see like spider webs at the base of my acro .and with a magnify lens i see a hole where it lives and somethig white with 2 pesky antenas peeking out the hole .now where this bug lives its has eaten the coral .5 inch i a circle ,had this bug for about a year and tried to drill the hole out where it lives i thought i had him, now the acro is part of my live rock ..any thoughts without a picture what it could be ? And should i leave it alone ?

sounds like a vermilid ??spelling?? snail the web is just that but more like a fishing line of mucus it uses to catch prey then consume they are harmless !

Yep sounds like Vermitid Snail stalks/tubes. These are the tubes that jam into your fingers and break off in your skin when you are trying to manipulate live rock to get the aquascape just so. Other than that they are harmless as dudley said.

Yea and then they swell up and fester for a week or 2 until you finally dig it out just in time to get another when you frag again.lol.I hate those things

i have 2-3 that are huge like 3-4 inches long and as thick as a drinking straw !
