I would definately get him out and after the dip place him back in the acro. They are really cool IMO! That is what I did with mine....although you may have a difficult time getting him out until you place him in the actual dip....hmmm. I used a baster and gently basted him out then placed him in a small container of SW.
Note, I actually temp & drip acclimated the coral first before dipping.
Most people I know take a tooth pick and move the little guy off, dip, rinse with tank water and put the crab back. The dip would not end well for the crab IMO.
Thanks for the replys I was kind of thinking along these lines , I have tried to remove it twice befor and never been able to get it out . When I recived the original coral it came on it was very small and I only saw it after it was already in the dip and had fallen off of the coral.
Looks like I need to try harder
