I got a new mini colony yesterday that I will post some pics of later. On the colony was a acro crab and deep in it was something dark that I could not make out. This morning I woke-up and in my sump was what looks like a brown 1/2" citron goby with a stripe through it's eye. It is definatley not yellow like a citron but same shape and now it is just sitting on the bottom of the sump, hopping around. I know i have seen these before but I cannot seem to find a pic at any of the sponsors sites. my question is:

Is this little guy a problem for the colony like citron gobies can be? Should I keep or remove him? If i get rid of him I will give him to a friend that has no acros, does he need acros to survive or will he do fine in a mixed reef? If he is bad I guess i am lucky that he got into my sump so he will be easy to catch (never would have happened if he was in the colony WAY to small).

Thanks in advance!!! I cannot get a pic he is in a very tight spot, If he comes out I will try to get a pic.

Got a picture, not great but to he is sitting on the glue on the edge of a 10gal tank, this shows how little he is.

Yes he is and my wife is trying REEEEEEEEal hard to make me keep him.

Any info on whether or not he will hurt my acro?

Thanks!!

The acropora hosts the goby. It doesnt host the acropora.

They feed on coral tissue, probably not enough to make an impact.
