Acro placement??

I bought an acropora enchinata about 2 weeks ago. So far there has been little to no polyp extension! I tested all of my calcium, salinity, and buffer and they all seem to be normal. The coral is placed a little more than half way up the tank and has almost direct water flow. What could be causing the problem?

I have mine in lower flow. but no PE still.

Its one of the hardest species to keep for me.

Enchinatas like lower light levels.It is considered one of the more difficult acros to keep.

Okay, my tank is 21.5 inches tall and the coral is a little more than half way up. Should i try lower with less flow?

I keep mine in lower light and flow, like others have said it can be pretty tough to keep. You might want to try putting it down a little further and see how it reacts.

I lowered the coral to place with less light and flow and the polyps are already starting to come out! Thanks for the input everyone!
