acro problem

i have noticed over the past week that one of my acros colonies is starting to die around the base. i believe it is due to low flow and probably low light being it is at the bottom of a decent size piece. my question is... is it going to continue to die untill it is all gone even thought there is good flow and light on the rest of it?? thanks for any input/help

Have you checked to be sure it's getting enough flow? Also may want to check for AEFW they cause the corals to lose tissue at the base.
