I have a maricultured staghorn acropora that was blue/purple but over the past month its browned out and actually looks pretty light. The very base is white and appears to be bleached while the rest of the coral seems to be turning brown or light translucent
All other corals are thriving including another acropora. Could the browning mean its getting too much light or too little light? I acclimated the coral from the bottom and moved it up slowly each week. I think its too little light so I've moved it to the very top which doesn't seem to help it.
Should I ramp up the light intensity even more on my AIs? It's only 25/34/34 and hung 12" over tank.
