So lately I have be observing most not all of my acro's either get a lot green if not completely green. My valida still has super purple tips but what used to be brown is shifting to green, and on the other hand I bought a brown frag that is now all green. My red dragon and Hawkins are fine. I don't think lighting is an issue I have a 250 radium 9" from the surface, for flow I have mp40 @ 30% keep in mind it's 14 gallons. I do weekly water changes with instant ocean, I also clean my pretty filter every 2 days. I forgot to mention I get good growth on every coral in my tank that's why I don't get it they are happy enough to grow.

Current parameters
ph 8.4
Allk 7.5-8
Cal 440
Mag 1380
P04 .01 Salifert
N03 0

Really at a loss here any help with be appreciated.

Can you check the rest of your parameters? Potassium, iodine, iron? They play a large part in coloration.

It's a 14 gallon nano cube and I think it's no more than 16 inches tall, bulb is two weeks old. I never dosed potassium in the past in my other tanks. Who makes a good test kit for it ?

They are getting enough light because this new they were colorful without green for 3 months plus I watch them closely if the lights to intense polyp extension is reduced I have experienced this every time I lower the light it takes a about a week for them to come around.

Iron brings out the green in corals. In small doses its a healthy, natural additive. Too much will cause problems. Are you dosing anything with iron in it? could something be leaching into your water?

I don't dose iron but I should probably test to eliminate it. My trace elements I use brightwell calcium and mag, along with Kent's pro dkh buffer. I have been testing everything almost daily because I am trying to narrow down and stabilize everything(pretty stable other than a low mag reading which I fixed within 2 days).
