acros light color help

BB or sand? How long have you been running the Phosban? How many fish on what size tank? How much and often do you do WC's?
A good friend of mine has experienced loss of color like what you are describing and we talked about a few things and he added a few more fish and took the Phosban off and his colors came back!! He put the Phosban back and the colors started to fade again. I think that the phosban is something like medicine, if your not sick then don't take it! If you don't have any P04 then don't run it imo. Or if you want to prevent any returning or to keep it in check then run it once a week or something like that.

I dont think you should shorten the photo time.

Is it just me or is people with phosban reactors having problems with colors on there coral? would be nice to see what happens if you remove the reactor, let us know cause I for one am interested in knowing if the colors get better without it.
Thanks

Josh,
How many hours are your MH on per day? Also how much rowa or phosban are you using in your reactor? What is your salinity and what are you using to measure it? you can send me a pm.

Pat

mh 8 hrs. salinity 1.025 refractometer. use half of what they say to use on a 100 gallons. when are you going to the fish place next

How are you feeding?
Remove phosban. Start target feeding to bring them back.
Losing color is often a sign of not enough feeding (nitrogen) available to the coral.

I am going to try to get there Sunday afternoon. I will be in Pittsburgh Friday and Saturday. Maybe we can hook up and I can look at the system and see if I can help.

What a lot of people dont understand is that theres no set number thats right here.

Light, phosphate, etc are all interrelated. When you get cleaner water, you need less light, etc.
