Acros Peeling @ Tip

Hi All,

I have a few frags that appear to be healthy.
Color and Poylp extension if great,
however I see some have tissue pealing at tips.

I have an MP40 @ 75% reefcrest mode around 1 ft away
from most of the Frags

Params:
No red bugs

Cal 430
Alk 8
Mag 1400
N&P 0

Have been using Tropic Marin Bio Actiff salt for last five 25% water changes.
Also been running NP Pellets for 6 months

Wondering if I stripped water column too fast?

Lighting: Five 48" T-5's on Icecap 660's and one 100% white Reefbrite strip. Lights are 6" above water.

Any ideas

I have seen a similar issue after trying biopellets. The corals got significantly lighter in color (almost bleached) and a slight burn on the tips of corals closest to the vortechs. Keep a close eye on your alk so that it does not rise above 8.5dkh. You corals may need time to adapt to clearer water, and reduced nutrients in the water. I also feed a ton more now than I ever did with no NO3 or PO4 measurable. I do dose AA and CV from Zeo. HTH

My parameters are pretty close to yours and I experienced the same issue when using Bio Active salt. I used it for about 2 20% water changes. Went back to regular IO and the problems went away.

Oh I also have been using the np biopellets for about 5 weeks now.
