Acrylic tank and Aquatic Technology

Please PM me, i can hook you up with a great place. I just bought a tank today, and it is awesome and much cheaper than these other places.

www.aquatictech.com Is this the place you are talking about? If so, I think their customer service is terrible. The old guy that usually takes orders over the phone always has an attitude and seems like he has more important things to do than to talk to commoners. I hate doing business with them but at times when I need something the next day I don't have much of a choice but to go with them.

It's up to you but I try to stay away from them as much as possible.

Did you read this thread? That's already a given.

Freed, aren't you closer to Premium Aquatics than you are to Aquatic Technology? I would imagine that you would get stuff from them at least just as fast and they are WAY WAY WAY better. Also, SaltyCritter maybe close enough for one day shipping and likeways much better than Aquatictech.

Hate to bash Aquatic Tech so much as I do, but they seriously need some customer service lessons. I appreciate that it isn't easy running a specialty pet store, but to make it in the business I'd imagine that anywhere you can get an edge is necessary. They could do with a major overhaul - new website, new employees, new attitude.

No argument here. By the way, they never bothered to respond to the email with specifics and quote request. Apparently they don't want customers. I guess they just want people to stumble upon their website and place an order. Why bother putting things on their website that they don't actually want to sell? I'm glad you folks were here to wave me off before money exchanged hands.

It took four days for Ostrom to get back to me with the official quote paperwork for me to print and sign. I had to get a money order for them for the deposit (50%). That, the paperwork and the cut diagram is to be sent to them by mail. I have to do the cut diagram tomorrow and get that off to them.

Thanks for asking.

anybody ever try to return something to greg/AT without a reciept even if it still has his orange price tag and you have spent hundreds in his store.

its crazy that someone could care so little about providing a service his customer would want,
then again maybee were all spoiled by Salty Critter.

Unfortunately, I had to scuttle the tank purchase. The bottom seal let loose 2 nights ago on my tank and I had to rapidly get another tank and stand. What a mess.
