Acrylic Tank manufacturers

Anyone know of reputable acrylic tank manufacturers here other than SoCal Creations....The quote they gave me was a LOT higher than I had expected and was more than glass quotes I have been given (I alwasy thought that acrylic tanks were cheaper?). I am just exploring the possibilities, I am pretty sure I am going to go with Franks Aqua glass aquarium quote at Tropical Reef Oasis, but acrylic offers more options. Thanks guys

Acrylic cheaper than Glass? let me know where you hear about that.. with the gas prices going up now, the acrylic price has been skyrocketing!

acrylic cheaper than glass? Uh...NO.

Starphire tanks tend to be about the same price as acrylic, but cheapy glass tanks are definitely cheaper than any quality made acrylic tank. But then, you end up with a cheapy green glass tank.

I agree, acrylic is more expensive than a standard glass tank, but will be cheaper than a starphire tank.

I had several quotes for my new tank.
Standard Glass
$700

Starphire Front
$1350

Acrylic
$800

well, I guess I was wrong then, but I wan't comparing the price to a cheap PetCo glass tank either FYI...but does anyone know about other good places for acrylic than just Socal?
So for all the long term acrylic aquarium owners out there...How do you keep the tank looking good, ie scratches, for longer than a few years??? You just use a old credit card for algae scraping?

I got my last tank made by kara kreations (chatsworth). I really like it.

Envision has a good rep as does socalcreations.

I personally REALLY dislike Tenecor. Their customer service leaves something to be desired.
Also not so hot on truvu.

Just remember "you get what you pay for" Socal made my sump, and i have to say it is "top notch" workmanship. Also, I found their pricing to be extremely reasonable.

Yeah that is what I was thinking, I'm going make an appointment with Socal tomorrow and work with Randy on the design :D So far I have heard nothing but great things about SoCal.

Lemec: Checkout some of the reviews as well for some of the manufacture's listed.

Ya, I have been going back and forth with Him via email....I was 2" too high, which would basically cause them to have to use another 1/2 sheet, hence a big price jump...but he said if I was willing to compromise to just 20" high the tank I wanted was 40x20x22 (I know, odd, but deal with it, lol)...The difference in price was $200! I will admit...SoCal is very easy to deal with.

I had the boys build my 60x24x24 sump and couldn't be any happier with the craftsmanship. They are currently building my 96x24x48 for me with 1-1/4" acrylic. I will post some pics once I receive it. Yes their tanks are a bit on the high side, but as stated before you get what you pay for.
