acrylic teeth

I bought a new sump off someone who had it built to his needs. Needless to say, the refugium part did not have the teeth cut out to prevent macro algae crossing over to the next level. Since the sump has already been glued together, is there any premade teeth that I can slip over the acrylic? Thanks

You can try using some adhesive to attach a peice of egg crate (lighting grid) to it. That's what I used as "teeth" to prevent macro alga to cross. Works great

egg crate is a good idea (probably the cheapest and easiest), but you could potentially cut a few teeth in it with a router. can you get a picture of the sump?

I used a dremel to cut my teeth. Worked out great and a very useful tool for other chores around the house.... including fragging :)

Thats it Rook! Thats what Im looking for. My problem is that the sump is already under my tank and already all plumbed in. If I could get a router in there I wouldnt be able to see what im doing. I would screw it all up. If the overflow comb doesnt work then I might try the dremel. Needs to be easy.
