Actual length of 46.5 inch vho.

Anybody know what the length of a 46.5 inch VHO bulb really is, I have a 48 inch canopy and bought a retro kit to put in it, the bulbs I usually buy for it state 46.5 inch bulbs I have never measured. I was on e-bay and a guy had what he said are 46.5 inch bulbs-4 of them I got for $50.00 Good deal I thought, I got them and tried to put them in my canopy and they are to long. I measured them and they are exactly 46.5 inches minus pins. Are they really for 48 inch fixture?

A 46.5 inch bulb is really 45.25 or so minus the pins I believe. I think he sold you 48 inch bulbs that are 46.5 minus the pins.

Never bought 46-1/2". Threw a tape on a few 48" URI 50/50s and actinics. All measure the same. 47-3/16 without pins and 47-3/4" overall.
