I haven't gotten a good shot yet, but here is the first pic of my new Queen Angel. He joins my Blue Face, Majestic and Emperor. He looks like a juvenile but he's 5" long and just getting his adult colors.
Thanks! I can see that you're as big a Tang freak as I am an Angel freak. Oddly enough my other Angels don't bother him at all, but my Hippo Tang is being a bit of a pain, and he's never bothered any new addition before.
Hey Dougie,
I run a 180 FOWLR. I have about 190 lbs of live rock, and the following inhabitants, 1 of each:
Niger Trigger
Copperband Butterfly
Cleaner Wrasse
Yellow Tang
Hippo Tang
Naso Tang
Coral Beauty
Blue Face Angel
Emperor Angel
Queen Angel
I had a Majestic that my LFS gave me because they thought it was going to die. I got it to eat and it was doing great for 2 months, then one day stopped eating, next day died. Oh well.
I would love to see some full tank shots off what your aquascape looks like, and pics off all your fish. I just set up a 180g and have no fish in it yet, and I'm interested in most of the ones you have. What order did you add them in?
Thanks
Here is a shot taken around April. It still looks the same, but this was before I added the Emperor and the Queen. I put them in in the following order:
Niger Trigger
Yellow and Hippo Tang (bought them both for 65 bucks!)
Coral Beauty (if I could do it again I'd get a Flame Angel instead)
Cleaner Wrasse
Copperband Butterfly
Blue Face Angel
Naso Tang
Emperor Angel (and Majestic that died)
Queen Angel
Your tank with overflow locations looks exactly like mine, is it glas or acrylic? Do you plan on having any coral in there? If you already do, do the fish leave them alone?
It's glass. No corals, the Angels will destroy them, plus I have PC lights. In fact my Blue Face Angel, the first one I got, completely cleaned the tank of aiptasia, and I was infested with them.
All fish are a pain to catch. Although this one photographs like a 2" juvi, it is actually almost 6" long just about ready for it full adult coloration. All of my fish are 5 1/2 to 6" long except for the Coral Beauty (of course), the Cleaner Wrasse (of course) and the Copperband Butterfly, who has grown from 2" to 4" in just a few months.
