Added new medication to my QT process

I recently became a nut for QT all fish after seeing how beneficial it is to QT all fish before entering the DT. I originially started with just dosing copper and maintain 0.5ppm of cupramine for 2 weeks. I wanted to expand my medication arsenal further and I ended up buying some prazipro today. Now my question is for dosing prazipro is it going to be the same as cupramine where after each waterchange I add it back to the system? And lastly, is it okay to maintain both cupramine and prazipro together for 2 weeks?

I typically dose copper for a 2 week period and then observe the fish for another 2 weeks before adding to the DT.

Typically 2 doses of Prazi are administered 5-7 days apart with a small water change in between. If the fish is showing symptoms of flukes then additional doses may be required. While I don't utilize copper in my quarantine protocol I have read that some have used it in conjunction with copper.

Thanks for the explanation. I read about people using them together and I already dosed it so it seems to be safe to mix the two so far.

I do 40% water changes every two days on my qt since its not cycled. Do you recommend me re dosing it after each water change to make up for the amount I pull out?

Prazi only stays in the water for 72 hrs so I would continue with your water changes ( much more important to keep ammonia in check) and do a full dose at the 5 days mark. After you run your copper protocol you can always redose Prazi if the fish exhibit signs of flukes.

I run both in my QT, but my QT is cycled so I can leave my prozi in for 5 days before I do a water change but my copper is at 0.5 the whole time with the prozi and never had any issues

Thanks for the clarification. I did want to ask one other question. I tried cycling my QT 2 times and for some reason it wont cycle. I usually leave a piece of shrimp in the qt for 3 days and then pull it out to spike the ammonia. I did this twice prior till now and it wont seem to cycle. Any suggestions? I have a heater, HoB filter, and a air stone in the qt. Along with some PVC.

I keep a sponge in my refugium to jump start a QT or I use a PC of LR.
