Adding a Rock Nem to my RBTA tank?

I have never mixed nems in the same tank.

I was told that you shouldn't, but I see nice pictures of mixed nem tanks all the time.

Is it fine or is there a trick to it, or are there combos that work and combos that don't work?

I have RBTAs in there now and want to add a Rock Nem. Opinions?

I would like to eventually have a dedicated nem tank with the RBTAs, a Haddoni, a few rock nems, and a tube anemone. Maybe also a sebae.

The only fish I would put in that tank would be a lionfish and a snowflake eel.

Will this combo work?

As for anemones there are definately some combos that work better than others ,some create horrible chemical warfare. Heavy use of activated carbon helps a lot with that part of it.

I have not kept rock flower nems but they may be fine with the BTA's if you keep them seperated a decent amount (12"). This is generally the case with some species, in a large enough tank you can mix and match a lot more but there needs to be some distance. And since they can move some anemone will actually cross eachother and that will create more problems for you eventually.

But it can work, heavy carbon and the right combos is one of the tricks that works :)
