Just put it in the tank and keep an eye on it. They may fight a little at first but it should not be for long. How long have you had the current one and do you know how old the new one is? When I added a second Tomato clown to my tank it took a day before she would stop picjing on the new one. But she still has not let it go in my RBTA. It has been about 2 months now. She will let him come near the RBTA but that is it. Hopefully some day she will let him in. If not he seems to be happy enough with his powerhead that he sleeps on....

i have had the old one from the beggining of the tank its been problably 6-7 months the new one i have no idea i added him to the tank along with the anemone and hes doing great they arnt fighting at all im happy now they have 2 anemones to choose from *Just Waiting*

I would have to feed the big guy belly full before the light off and put the new clown in, and swithch off light, at lease you have the whole night for him to get use to the new enviorment, especially the current.

15 minutes before lights out, add the new one. let him find a place to go, then the lights will go out... and be ready for a melee in the morning. My Coral Beauty gave my 2nd more trouble than the other clownfish did. Now, they more or less leave each other alone.... just an occasional chase.
