adding corals

when they say that if you add too many things to your tank at once it will hurt your water quality, are they talking about fish or corals. Or both?

They are talking mainly about fish because they produce more waste quicker than your bacteria population can grow to handle. But, invertebrates are also the same way, but they present a fraction of the bioload. For every one fish, you can probably equal the amount 10 moderate size invertebrates. Including shrimp, crabs, coral, anemones, etc.

I added 3 or 4 corals at a time to my tank and everything seemed fine. I would never add more than two fish at a time to be on the safe side.
