Adding LR and water displacement...

Im curing some LR right now, and Im going to be adding some to my reef, some quite large peices. What should I do about water displacement? My overflow can be quite touchy sometimes. So do I put in the LR, then let overflow rebalance water level. Or do I siphon some out to get it back to normal level?

i would syphon it out and put it back to normal level... thats what i did anyways
