adding RBTA after maroons are in?

i have 1 maroon clown, only about 1.5". i will get a smaller 1 for it once this 1 is about 2". i bought a RBTA about 6 weeks ago that almost 2.5X it's size. well it's dead. i believe i fed it to death. i was feeding it a silverside every other day, sometimes every day. then day before it died, i witnessed the clown rip the silverside out of RBTA mouth. maybe she knew it was being overfed and was stressed. it was a beautiful RBTA and my family, friends and myself are kind of acting like a pet dog of 10 years just died. it's weird. anyway, i would like to get another before spring. will i run into a problem adding 1 while there is a maroon clown in tank? i'm concerned the clown will start hosting it before it's settled, stressing it out. i don't want to remove clown either. way too much LR and i don't have another tank and don't want to put in a specimen container stressing it out.

Maroons are very hard on anemones, you wont have a problem adding another anemone as far as the clowns go, but you may have a problem with the anemone when you fist put it in because they will find it and irritate it while it is becomeing adjusted to your tank.
Be sure to buy a very large anemone next time that can handle the stress of the maroons.

Also am sorry to hear of the loss of your anemone. You need to figure out what happened to it before adding another however.
I dont think it died from over eating as if they dont want food they just let it drop to the bottom of the tank.
What signs did it show when it died?

none. it was fine the night before it died. absolutely fine. that night when i fed it a silverside it didn't snatch it up as fast. kinda just held onto it for almost an hour before it made it to mouth. normally the fish would be devoured within 20 minutes. then it took forever before it started swallowing it. once silverside was in just alittle the clown ripped it out but i could see the RBTA had a good grip. after it was pulled it's mouth was puffed up. before i went to bed though it looked back to normal. i woke up and found a couple hairlike slimy things floating around. when i seen RBTA i knew it was dead or dying. tentacles were like spaghetti. mouth open huge and puffy, it was a fraction of it's regualr size, and i could see those slimy hairlike thing coming from it. i know it wasn't deflating. my next RBTA will only be fed once or twice a week.

Wow, I would do a water change asap, sounds like maybe something has gotten into the water, have you sprayed anything in the home. Had anything on your hands and put your hands in the tank?
Cleaned the glass with windex? Anything like that?
Have you allready removed the anemone? Or can you take a picture of it?

were you completely sure it was dead when you removed it, I see my GBTA do the same thing every once in a while. It deflates, and really weird red stringy stuff comes out for a while, A couple of hours later it is fine again. If I were you I wouldve moved it to quarantine for a while to observe.

finding nemo, no, no and no. nothing sprayed, etc. all fish, sps and lps perfect. i did a WC. this had nothing to do w/ me other than maybe overfeeding.
allen00se yes it was dead or dying. i know the difference between a deflating RBTA and a dead/dying 1. i kept it in a seperate container for 2 hours and only got worse.
