Adding real water for the first time

I have been using straight tap water to test my plumbing and stuff.

What is the procedure for filling the tank from this point?

Do i need to drain and dry the tank, or is the couple gallons of straight tap water in my sump and the last inch in my tank that won't siphon no big deal.

Do I need to clean it with vinegar?

Can come up with a billion questions, probably quickest for you to just tell me what to do.... LOL

How big is your tank? If you have a couple of gallons in a 10g it matters. If it's a 500g, not so much! :)

It also matters how bad your tap water is. Most likely not a big deal.

Is this a new or used tank? Do you feel it needs a cleaning? You could always spray it down with vinegar and rinse it out. If you have a shop vac you can get all the rinse water out.

Some fill their tanks with RO/DI and then add salt. I like to mix saltwater and then put in tank. Gives you lots of practice mixing! :)

My apologies, I have a 65 Gallon tank with a EShopps R100 Sump.

Thank you for the Wet/Dry comment. Believe it or not I have 2 Wet/Dry Vacs and that option didn't dawn on me...

My Plan now is to put some vinegar in a spray bottle and spray down the tank, rinse it out with my garden hose one last time, Drain it and vacuum as much water out as possible then fill it with RO/DI water and salt. (I don't have the capacity to mix that much salt water outside my tank.

Everybody does it differently. I like to put in rocks then sand then water already mixed. I have a 32g mix container and just do batches till the tank (120g) is full.

Post some pics. We all love to look at pictures! :)
