adding tbs to other base rock and sand?

Not sure where to start, but I have questions about adding to my tank.

This is what I have already:
75g tank
60# of Hirocks(best quality) base rocks.
30# of Aragamax Sand "oolitic" 0.2 to 1.22 mm grain.
40# of Seaflor Special Grade Reef Sand 1 to 1.7 mm grain.

All of it is in my garage.

I'd like to get a package and just add to what I have.

My thought was to put in a 20# mix of the sand I have along with 40# of the base rock and then order a 55 gallon package from Richard.

Since I have all the plumbing done, I was thinking of starting the tank up and cycling with the 20# of sand and 40# of rock with a shrimp or two and then once I finished that, add the first half of the package, let then cycle and then when levels are good, add the second half along with an order of assorted crabs and snails that would bring me up to the same amount he sells for a 75g package.

Does this sound reasonable?

Any other suggestions?

thanks,
elz

elzool - I already had LR and LS from a local tank in mine and was cycled, so I called up TBS and asked jsut for "part 2" - half the rock from the package, and all teh critters - jumpstarted my then bland tank into a very beautiful display, and gove all teh variety of life TBS is famous for.

hirocks are just a realllly dead porous rock out of hawaii.

They look great and are quite cheap.

I hadn't thought about just adding part two... I may do just that... I'll email them tonight for a price on that.

thanks!
