Addition of a bubble tip

hey guys, i never had an anemone before. i have had this tank est for about 3+ years. my live stock includes mostly corals. but i do have 2 blood shrimp, 2 gobbys and my lovely clown =)

anyway, my question is this. almost none of my corals are glued down but seem pretty stable ( if the blood shrimp climb all over the place and not knock em over thats a good sign right??) now.... i have only had 2 other clowns before this who dint really do all that well since i had some chromis and a damsel in the tank who would bully it or starve it....the chromis had died and i had cought the damsel (cut in half a bottle and trapped it with a cube of food)

so the question is this... if i get a smaller bubble tip anemone would it disturb my already somewhat crowded tank? if i try and stick him somewhere above the colt coral i have would that be the best idea?? i know he will move a little but parts of me has visions of this thing plowing over all my stuff lol. anyway input would be nice. here is a link to a pic of my tank

i forgot to mention, iv had the clown for about a month, i feed my tank with a turkey baster. he loves to take food from the baster and is not shy at all. he takes huge chunks of food.... he seems very happy.

The bubble tip may only move alittle, then again it might move across the whole tank.Good thing your corals aren't glued down that way you could move them if needed. The clown may take right to the anemone or it might take awhile. Good Luck

You don't need to worry about it crawling all over your rock and/or corals and knocking them over, but you should worry about it stinging them. If your tank is crowded I wouldn't advise getting a bta. Likes snakemanvet said, it could stay put or move around till it finds a spot. I have two rbtas that are probably 10-12" fully open and one keeps going back and forth between two spots, albeit close together but still, it moves. Luckily I don't have corals too close by that get stung.

There is NO placing a BTA, they go where they want! A little BTA can soon be a big BTA. Once they find their happy spot though, they will purity much stay put, BUT sometimes the go out slimming around...
There is also no guarantee clowns will host. I have 5 RBTA's in my 185 with 3 happy Oc clowns that host all of them. In my 55, I have 2 RBTA's and 2 Oc clowns that have never shown any interest.

Be sure to cover all power heads and strong intakes as they can severely injure/destroy a BTA. Too many times on the forums I hear of this happening - He never moved close to the MP40 before.....

BTA's are aliens haha way cool and a lot of fun to keep!
Good luck
