Those look fine. I would suggest getting a larger one however. 75gpd is a good choice for a couple reasons. First, you won't have to wait around all day for it to fill your mixing barrel. Second, there will be times when you need more water NOW. Lastly, it doesn't cost that much more and will give you flexability for your tank upgrade!

It seems as if you are just looking for someone to give the ok to do what you are planning on doing anyway, so go ahead. Hopefully it will work out ok.

When I worked at the LFS I saw this happen all the time. If I told someone that putting two fish together wouldn't be a good idea...they'd just go ask someone else the same question until they found someone that was willing to tell them it would be okay to do. It started to get on my nerves after awhile but then I came to realize that some people have to learn the hard way. :headwalls:
