I have a 155 bow, with some live rock, and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for catching fish to take out. I have a Picasso trigger, and a sohal tang I wish to remove to do there aggression an return to the pet store.

The only time I have been able to do so is when I took all the water and rock out, but do not want to do that this time.

thanks.

I have a ten inch cylinder trap, but the fish seem scared of it, maybe if I left it in there a few days, they would become used to it and enter

yes you will need to leave the trap in there for a few days. And when you feed, put the food inside the trap so the fish will get use to going in it.

Use a #24 fish hook w/ a tiny piece of shrimp. I caught my chromis im 5 seconds. I tried everything else short of ripping my tank apart to catch him. He is now happy in a friends tank.

Get a big net and leave it in the tank near where you feed them. Just leave it there... They'll get used to it after a little while. Once they no longer fear it, feed them right above the net. When they go after it, yank the net upwards, fast, and it should get them. It caught me some black skirt tetras in a freshwater tank with so much tannin saturation I couldn't see those skirts unless they were only a few inches from the glass!

+1

It's nice if there is a small hole at top of the trap for you to squirt food in.

Yup, just keep adding the food to the trap. Also, it takes some finesse... I find that leaving the door closed, with food inside, get's the fish much more active in trying to enter the trap. Then I just raise the door, and in they go.

I'm like 15 and 0 with my trap ;)
