Hello,

I'm moving a 340 gallon acrylic aquarium this saturday. Any tips/tricks for moving this thing?

I'm thinking of buying a couple suction cups from amazon (industrial strength) to pull/maneuver tank, and then get a couple table jacks from harbor freight to raise/lower it to trailer/stand.

Is that about the gist of it? Can anyone share any advice for easiest way to move this guy?

Don't forget beer... Lots of it..
and about 4-6 strong guys..(or 8 ladies :) )

Other than that sounds like you've got it..

I've been wrestling with a 450 - 550 lbs. give or take. Bought a pair of the harbor freight 1,000 lb. lift tables. Two of the 500 lb. versions would have held the weight obviously, but they didn't raise high enough. Also bought 4 of the dual suction cup handles, though haven't used those yet.

Interesting! So the 1000lb table jacks lift higher than the 500lb version?

The small one only goes up to 27", which was not high enough. Could have rigged a spacer out of 2x4 I suppose, but the bigger table just seems more robust.
