Advice needed for CPR BackPak skimmer

I found a new CPR backpak skimmer rated for a my 90 gallon relatively cheap. Has anyone had experience with this? It is cheap enough that I might try it anyways, buy some positive feedback for them would make me feel better about buying it.

Thanks,
Robert

i had the duel CPR skimmer on my 75 and it never really did much of a job skimming.
i was also always having to adjust the air flow valves at the end of each airline trying to get the bubbles coming up right into the riser tube/collection cup.. and don't let something clog the intakes, you'll end up with water all over the floor...
just my opinion but i wouldn't go with one again...

I'll have an MRC MR2 for sale soon, if you can wait. I'll be asking $250 with pump (PCX 40)... I'm going for an MR4:). That's why I'm selling frags;). It works great. It is the older style, but new with pump your looking at around $450. As soon as I have enough for the MR4, it will be for sale...

I was going to respond earlier right after you posted the question, but I obviously hesitated. Yes its a small skimmer and yes it the manufacture may say it can do a 90 gal. However, if your bio-load is small enough then you could use this skimmer. If you do so, I would definitely make sure you drill the collection cup and drain it into something bigger. Again as you know... I think it would all depend on your bio-load.

Let me know when it is available Gary. I am definitely interested in it.

I have a pretty big bio load so probably going to steer away from this one.

Thanks everyone....

Will do, Robert. I'm working on enough for the skimmer, then have to get the pump. I need to see if a Reeflo Barracuda is too much to drive it (I have one of them, though I think it will scream...).
