Advice needed

So I have chatted with some of you regarding this but I'm still very up in the air and am being very indecisive ;(. I figure I would toss it out to everyone.

So I've made my stand, (still needs paint/stain), for my new used 26g RR rimless BF. I really want a clean sleek look on this tank. This is going to be my first attempt at SPS. All I need is a skimmer for it and lighting. Here lies the issue. Should I go with a Tek, a coralvue or an ATI T5 fixture? I know the ATI is the best quality of those choices but of course it's the priciest. Like I stated earlier I do still need to get a skimmer for it, or do I?

The stand will house a 10g sump.

To add to the dilemma, I do have a brand new 120g RR in the garage that I plan on setting up sometime, oh in the next 6mos/year. I will need to get equipment for that! See where I'm going with this? $$$$

Current tanks that are up in running are a BC 14g that will end up getting moved to either wife's office, or to friend/family, a 37g that's in living room. This will be broken dwn and sold most likely as the 120 will take its' spot. Finally I have a 40b in the basement that houses several nems and some random corals.

In the next cpl weeks I will hit my first year in this "lifestyle" and it's been soooo frustrating/rewarding...but I wouldn't change a thing...well maybe a cpl things ;) .

My advice: think about concentrating your efforts on one great tank; new enthusiasm makes it easy and exciting to set up different systems, but over the long haul maintaining several tanks can become very taxing.

Sounds familiar eh Don? ;) Yea, I definitely have a lot going on here, but it's so much FUN!!!!! :eek1:

Set up six more nano tanks and make a sump out of the 120. No I'm just kidding. That kitchen in wall installation is gonna be sweet.

Awww some friends you all are!!! :hammer: :p

SO...if I WERE to do as you have all suggested, what am I to do now? I suppose I could scrap the 14g all together, make the 37g wifes' office tank. Break the 40g with 15g sump setup that's in basement down?!? What about the sweet nano setup I just got, and the stand I built for it?

As a new hobbyist and one that's obviously totally "hooked", it's going to be super difficult for me to pull all this off, especially since the 120 isn't going up until I, is in "moi", guts/remodels kitchen.

Let's be realistic!!!:lolspin:

Here is realistic for you. Start from the ground up. Set up the large basement sump. You could tie couple of the small tanks into it and hold extra rock and stuff in the sump. Work the plumbing up to the kitchen and leave it. When you are ready for tye 120 just plug and play. System will be done.

You speak like you do this for a living or something Gennadiy. Sounds like a plan...Don your ol' 150g stock tank is about to come online...kinda....and after I throw some walls up for a fish room. This is gonna be fun!!!!
