Hi Guys.....I am in the process of ordering a new 180 tank, I know I will have plenty of questions but for now I need help with overflow boxes....here is my dilemma:
Would you,
Buy a RR with corner overflows (higher price)
Buy a RR with middle overflows (costs less than the one above)
Buy a regular no RR and install your own overflow box? (cheaper than both above)
I have a 75 gal that I drilled with an overflow rated 700 gph box from G-Holes.....I can either buy another 700 box (I would remove the box I have on the 75 and put in the 180, so I would have two 700 gph boxes) or they have a 1500 gph box.......
Do you think this is better, I always hear that people dont like the big overflows that come built in, at the same time I dont know if 1400 gph or 1500gph overflows are big enough for a 180 tank.
Just as a side note, I will have 3 MP40s that would turn the water in the aquarium pretty good, some people say that slow overflows are better for the skimming part others do not agree, what do you think
Thanks guys
