Advice on Dipping Deepwater Species?

Curious about what to use on dipping deepwater acros?
I've got several deepwater/smoothskin corals killed by dipping with RX & Bayer... Read about corals killed by Revive too.
Need some suggestions. Some of my deepwater pieces are very expensive so I did not quite want to risk killing them.

Please share your experiences, Thanks!

I dip smooth skinned "deepwater" Acros just like any other Acro in Bayer (10 mL per cup for 10 minutes) and occasionally Coral Rx. I haven't actually found them to be any more sensitive than other Acros, and I've dipped "a million" since Coral Rx has been commercially available, and just started using Bayer this year. I don't care how expensive they are, they don't go in my tank without a Bayer dip.

You might have dipped some that are not as sensitive.

Maybe for the Bayer since I've only dipped about half a dozen smooth skins so far. Coral Rx is notoriously tough on smooth skins though and I've not had this experience using the product as per the label instructions.

Ime, this subject comes up a lot and I think it's an old wives' tale. [emoji38]

Bayer does seem more gentle on smoothskin in my experience. RX is very bad for them... like really really bad.

I've not had issues with Coral Rx either. The only one I've had trouble with is TMPCC. That stuff is hard on corals!
