advice on lighting

I have a 120 gallon fish only tank... I want to convert it to a reef tank... I would like to know what kind of lighting and how much I need to accomplish this... also I would like to incorperate moonlights and a timer to automate this process but not really sure what parts I need or where to get started... any help would be appreciated

well it all depends on what kind of corals you are planning on keeping. If you want acros your going to need some strong T5's or some MH but if you just want easy corals you dont need a ton. What do you have on it now.
