Advice on mix of reef fish

What fish would you recommend I add to my tank?

I have a 1000L mixed reef with:

1 adult yellow tang,
7 chromis,
2 damsels,
2 black and white clownfish,
a bangai cardinal,
a dottyback and
a mandarin.

I also like my inverts, so I wouldn't want anything that messes with them.

Is that enough, or is there a great fish to add to that mix?

You can add more fish if you want in that tank. There is a variety of fish you can add but at least 2 or 3 more large fish

Does it have a sand bed? Does it have good cover? The usual 240 gal tank can easily take double the small fish and two more tangs (or large fish). Your tank is about 250ish tank.

It has a half inch sand bed, and a net cover.

If I add more Tangs, do I need to swap out the yellow, or can I add them with it already in the tank?

I'd like something really different and "œattention grabbing", but not sure what to go for...

You might need to rearrange rockwork or put a few mirrors up to distract the yellow. There will be some aggression but it will subside.

One of these guy? Chevron Tang adult coloration

Flame Angels and Leopard Wrasses (juvenile/female coloration). Leopard are delicate and need care to get establish, once established they are hardy. Flame angels can be keep in harem, they spawned almost every other night in my tank.

Regal Angels. These are real show stopper. They are delicate and need delicate care initial. There is Red Sea and Indian Ocean variety that have yellow chest, and Pacific variety that have blue/grey chest.

Copper Band Butterfly. Delicate and need time to get establish in tank. I never have any problem. Many will eat aptasia, but will also eat a lot of worms and feather dusters.

Flasher or Fairy Wrasses Many species. Very striking and beautiful. This is my Flasher wrasses. I am new at Flasher and Fairy wrasse keeping so I cannot help much here:

Powder Blue tang. Rather aggressive, but manageable and very beautiful. Mine go after other tangs when they first get into the tank. He injured his L spine, which permanently erect as in the picture below. He is very healthy and fat. Need to add last and maybe smaller than other tangs.

Watanabei angel. Graceful and striking, reefsafe. Male:

An of course Onyx Percula clown and Carpet anemone. Carpet may not do too well in a community tank as they do eat fish.

Harlequin Tusk. Be careful with these. The need to be well fed or they will eat your small fish, snails and shrimps. I hand feed mine everyday until he can eat no more. Only time he eat any fish is when they get in the tank, still disoriented and make easy prey. Fortunately, he go to bed early, especially if he is full. That is the time I add small fish. I did not have problem but many people loose fish and snail to them. Hand feed them was the different, I think, in my case. Tou can see his huge stomach and tat body like a torpedo below. I love those blue teeth, and their striking coloration.

I also have a beautiful Purple tang but I have to take him out because he is going after the yellow tang and continue to spar with my Powder Blue. I had to choose between the two and I took the Purple out.
One spot Foxface is more of a utility fish. Marine Beta is difficult to photograph. That are essentially my favorite fishes. I am going to have Flasher and fairy wrasses in the near future.
