Hi Guys,

Well my 24G Aquapod Nano has been doing well. It has been up and running for the past 5 months. I currently have a clownfish and yellow watchman goby. They have been with me all the way. I have noticed alot of algae growth. My corals are all doing great, but I don't want the green algae to overcome my tank. So, I need to know what types of fish can I keep in my NANO to control this. My parameters are all fine & I do regular water changes. Note: I know I can not add my favorite: TANGS, as this is a nano tank. Thanks in Advance! Note, I will be re-starting my 175 bowfront from renovations in about 3 months.

What type of algae?

I assume since it's been going it's past the diatom phase.
What kind of cleanup crew do you have? I think hermits and snails do a better job on algae than fish in nano's.

I've heard of people acclimating freshwater mollies to saltwater and I guess they are major algae eaters.

It's green algae. I have 2 hermit crabs only. My tank is not swamped with this algae. However, it will be if I don't do something early. Thanks!

Green hair is a phase. I couldn't grow hair algae in my 8 month old tank, I'm pretty sure, unless I put in raw rock, and probably not then. Right now, for me, it's all bubble and grape caulerpa. Be patient, run a little phosban, and let a toothbrush and hermits do most of the work.
