ok so i have the tank sitting on the metal stand and there's a gap between the tank and the stand towards the center of the stand. the tank is half way filled and the gap is still there. should i be worried?

The stand might be a little bent.. and not supporting it fully .
I would put somthng under there to assure its supported all the way around . imo..it could make the tank leak .if not right away in time..

If you have a long straight edge or level, you can use it to confirm that it is the stand.

I agree with Tonycip that you probably don't want a gap. How wide is the gap?

I was told before that the weight of the tank is supported at the corners. Dont count on that or take it as fact, just what I heard.

Honestly I wouldnt even risk it, how big is the tank is it transferable to another stand? or getting a new stand? Hope its small tank :P

If you cannot take down the tank and fill in that gap or make it balanced somehow. Go and buy yourself a deck of card. Use the cards to wedge in there, so that it will help balance the tank. That's what I use to level out my stand. Good old 5 decks of cards, my floor was just off everywhere.

Frost if its the stand from me i had a tank on it for a year with no issues if its the one i am srry i didnt know
