David, The steup looks great. I'm sure the the corals will adjust to the QT fine. How many weeks have you decided to treat for? Are you going with 6 or 7 weeks as we have talked about.

I still think that using Levamisole for the frist dip is a good choice. If you google for pig dewormer you should find a place to order it if you can't find it locally. here's one that i found http://www.animart.com/product.php?productid=2925&cat=167

Well, things aren't looking good in my quest to obtain Levamisole. I tried ordering from the link that you gave me Brian. Initially it appeared the order was going to go through. However, I just received an e-mail message from the company stating that the manufacturer of Levamisole shows the product backordered with no estimated release date. It appears that nobody can get this product until the manfacturer produces/ships more of it. I am not sure what the issue is but it appears Levamisole might not be an option for me.

Dave:
I have been reading your posts and i saw where you were talking about pig dewormer. So I called Tractor Supply today and they do carry the Levamisole that you are looking for.The lady said you can get a rain check for it so when it comes in you will be able to get it.
It's $17.49.The number for Tractor Supply is 484-1596.
Keep up the good work and keep everyone informed.

I just hope people don't think I'm stepping on there toes by looking for things.I'm kinda new to all of this stuff. As most of you have been at it for awhile and to have a cherry come into the picture.I have appreciated all the help from everyone and hope to learn more.

Bob

No stepping on toes Bob. I think it is safe to say that not many of us would have thought to look for that at TSC. That is what is one of the best things about the club, getting other peoples ideas, opinions, and learning from thier experiences.

Thanks Bob for checking this out for me! I actually did call Tractor Supply about two weeks ago and the guy said they didn't even carry it. My guess is that he just didn't know what he was talking about. :) I will give them a call and get on the list. I just wonder how long the wait is going to be.

Dave:
I'm not sure how long the wait will be but the way the lady talked thet this must be the time of the year that the farmers dewrom there pigs.Thats why they are out right now

Bob

Hey David, my brother in law works for a co-op and has a farm with pigs/hogs. I will talk to him today and see if he has Levamisole that he could spare.

David, if you can't find it, I could check the farm coop near me ad see if they have it. If you do I could ship it to you. PM me if you would like me to do this.

Dave:
Kinda looks like you'll be dipping sooner than you think lol.
Good luck on your dipping.Would you happen to have any mushrooms?Or any other types of soft corals that would do well in low light levels if so please let me know.

Yeah, if possible I would like to get my first dip in this weekend!

I actually just gave three mushroom leathers to Klaus to get them out of my tank. I have a frag of zoos that would probably do fine in lower light. I have had it in my fug for about 4 weeks now and it's still looking good.

Dave:
Don't want to sound like a dummy but what are zoo's?Everyone talks about zoo's and other types of coral but with no explaniton as to what they are. I hope I'm not the only one out there who doesn't know.

Well, my quest continues for Levamisole. I was in Ohio today for a family thing and checked out both the local Tractor Supply and Rural World (never even heard of this place before) with no luck. This stuff seems like it's very hard to purchase. I plan to talk to a vet on Monday to see what they can do. If any of you have additional ideas please let me know.

I do plan to do my first dip tomorrow with TMPCC. I will post the details tomorrow.

Do you think you would have better luck with a farm vet than a normal one in town. We take the dog and cat to the vet up in busco. A little bit of a drive for you, but I am wondering if the vets in town will carry pig de wormer

I would also try Grabill Vet as they service the amish community to the north of us.

Yeah, I think you are both right, I need to contact a vet that deals more with farm animals. I think I will try the one in Grabill as that is only about 10 min. from my house.
