AEFW dipping with Bayer

What should be the ratio for bayer to water to dip for AEFW on my spa coral? Will deep water smooth acros and millies have the same dosage?

Thanks for your help

we use 8mL per gallon for 9 minutes. On soft skin and deep waters it can be lethal at that rate. we will either use a reduced dose/time or revive and an extended quarantine

I do 1ml/cup for 10 minutes. I've definitely seen redbugs come off, and early on, treated a redbug infestation successfully (I think, 6 months no bugs) with this ratio. Never seen an AEFW come off. I usually buy small frags at a time, so never mixed a large batch, but you can do the math! I believe the origional thread recommended 1/2mL/cup, but at that dose, did not kill all redbugs. I repeated the dip at the above concentration (1mL/C), and that did it for me. No ill effects to date. Never dipped a smooth skin, so cant comment there.

@ 20ml per gallon for five minutes I've seen red bugs and AEFW fall off and die. I'm still playing with the dose to kill nudi's. They seem tougher.

I use 10ml per cup of water, 3 min dip, have had no fatalities even with some delicate smooth skinned/deepwater acros. Definitely will get the AEFW off.

could someone back up and tell me what you are doing? treating flat worms with insect killer? did I read that right? I haven't been on the board in almost a year and haven't added a single new thing to my tank so no flat worms, but I am sure the day will come when a purchase is made...I have coral rx...is this a new method?

This link has a detailed discussion of the protocol. A few days ago I dipped newly shipped Symphyllia, Herpolitha and Polyphyllia (all LPS) at a dose of 5 ml / cup for 12 minues or so. So far so good.
