AEFW Question

I have read a few sources that AEFW can't survive a freshwater dip. If this is the case how are the corals affected by Freshwater dip? If they are not greatly affected, couldn't we just Freshwater dip them then QT them to get rid of AEFW. I am assuming all we would have to do is PH and TEMP match before we do it. This way we would not expose our Acros to un-needed chemicals.

SPS ARE affected by freshwater dips. Also, freshwater will not kill te eggs.

What is the effect on corals? Also, how long can they withstand before damage occurs? Also, does anything kill the eggs, I thought you had to manually remove them no matter what you treat with.
