AEFW Questions

Do AEFW travel around off corals and onto rocks? I've been dealing with them for 6 months now and dipping corals as I see them have symptoms. I havnt seen any eggs for a long time now but just when I think it's all gone, I'll see a frag slightly pale or not growing well. I dip it and a flatworm comes off.

AEFW are capable of a free swimming larval stage during development. There was a link a couple months ago that detailed much about them, like each egg housing multiple embryos (like 3-10 as I recall) and the free swimming larval stage.

I battled aefw for over a year and until I dipped every acro in the tank once a week for six weeks straight they kept coming back. It was a huge pain. But now I am flatworm free. The key is to break their lifecycle by killing newly hatched ones before they lay eggs.
