I thought I would throw out a couple of pictures of my obsession after 8 months. Comments are welcome.

Your tank looks very good. What snails do you use to keep your sand so white? Do you scrape the corraline off the middle of the back wall and just let it grow on the sides? What type of lighting do you use?

skippy2,
Thanks. Yes, I scrape the back glass but leave the coraline on the overflows. I use a combination of snails but I think the Nassarius snails do the best on the sand. I have Margarita's, Trochus,Cerith, and Nerite's also.

The light is a 72" Maristar running 3- 250w 14K Phoenix DE bulbs with
4 39w T5 atinics.

Thanks for all the kind comments. I am kind of of proud of the tank so far.I know it is still very young though.

Fish & inverts:
black oscellaris
false perc
copperband butterfly
dejardini tang
one spot foxface
2 small RBTA's
red serpent star
black spiny brittle star
assorted snails

125lbs of Kaleni live rock
30 gallon sump
ASM G4 skimmer
2 tunzes and 7095 controller

Instant Ocean salt
RO/DI water only / Major reason it stays so clean. I just started running carbon within the last week or so and I think that polished up the water clarity also. I do have a recent problem with flatworms but I plan on dealing with that this week.

40 gallon water changes every 3 weeks
I dose 3oml 2 part bi ionic daily
2 capfuls of Phyto DT's every other day
I feed mostly PE Mysis
Anemones get small pieces of silversides or scallops twice a week

I have a pretty diverse mix of corals including SPS, LPS, Zoos and Shrooms. I do not see a lot of rapid growth of corals just mostly steady. That could be because of the lights I am not sure. But most everything does appear to be growing and doing well.

Again, Thanks for the comments and all the help I have received on this board.

That much of coraline after only 8 months ? and wow....very nice tank:thumbsup:
I have a question for you dwsindy. How long did the coraline start to show up on the wall tank when you first noticed that. ?
Thanks dwsindy

VINH_XUAN,
Thanks,
As far as the coraline timeline I'm not too sure but I do know the live rock colored up nicely after the first couple of months.

I purchased the rock from Premium Aquatics. It sure is nice to have them local. I work only a few blocks from them. Great service and super nice people.

The coraline on the back is mostly on the overflows. I always thought about scraping it off there also but haven't so far.
