My tank has been accumulating some serious detritus that I could not get rid off and for a while now I was contemplating on doing a major cleaning. So one day I drained all the water into two bins, removed all live rock , got rid of all the sand ( which was being continuously kicked up by pistol shrimp) , took all (or so I thought) fish to local store. Scrubbed, scrapped entire tank inside and out. Got some new black sand, poured water back in , arranged few rocks and this is what I came up with.
Sadly few LPS corals didn't like the whole adventure ( Xmas favia, war coral, frogspawn , hammer and two small blastos) and faded away.
I was planing to be fish less for a while until I'll get the algae eradicated, but to my great annoyance I've discovered green clown goby smuggled itself in a pice of live rock. So now I have a trespasser that I need to feed !
Other than few loses I am quite happy how things turned out.
