After a month 9005 no workie

Roger you helped me before when I just set up the skimmer. After running perfectly for a little over a month it stopped working. I read previous threads and came to the comclussion that its an issue with the pump. There was no water flow, so I removed the pump and dis assembled it. Checked all the parts and saw no damage. I re-assembled it and and put it in fresh water to see what would happen. NO GO.....i removed it from the water and noticed that the housing was running a little hot. Not sure whats going on but your help would be greatly appreciated.

Do you find any sort of blister or ridge inside the hole that the impeller assembly inserts into? This was a problem with some pumps we made in late May- early June. Check this and if necessary I can send a replacement. The other possible cause would be the upper bearing is stuck to the magnet but it would have to be a pretty extreme situation for this to happen in just a month though it may be possible if you had a calcium "snow storm" from precipitation.

I checked it a few minutes ago and there was some "blistering" not sure if Im describing it correctly. Also on another note it seems that the pump runs fairly smoothly when it is not in the water, but the rate seems slower than when I originally got it.
