AGA and Top Fin tanks., Comparable or not?

Hey, my g/f was on her way to work and stopped off at a pet shop, I think Pet Smart knowing I've been looking for a 10g tank. I wanted an AGA but all they had was a brand named "Top Fin" she called me up and asked if she should get it. I told her to hold off for now because I could not see the quality for myself.

Anyone have any experiance with these tanks, good or bad?

I have a feeling she's gonna bring one home anyway, I can always use it for something else if needed; some first hand feed back would be nice though.

Thanks!

I have two Top-Fin 20 gallons and one ten and i have no complaints. I use all of them for fresh water now but soon the 10 gallon will become my quarentine. I've had the longest going for about two years now and it seems fine, no leaks.

Top Fins are made of all tempered glass where AGA 10gs arent. Unless you plan on drilling it I think you will be fine. I have a cheap 10g I bought that I'm turning into a reef.

Thanks guys, I had heard that it was made by AGA but the quality was lesser.

She did bring one home, the glass looks clear, but thinner than the AGA's I remember in the past. It's been awhile though so maybe it's my memory playing tricks on me. The silicone also looks a bit messy.

I won't be drilling it, so no worries there.

They are the same tanks. Just different labels. I get to watch them make them every day.
