I have two perc clowns in my tank. I've had them for about six months and they get along find until now. Both are just over 1 inch long and are about the same size. I bought them trying to grow on from unsexed fish inorder to eventually get a pair.
I've recently added a rose BTA and they seem to be fighting over it's ownership.
How long can I expect the battles, and they do include lips locking and look nasty, to go on for?
Is it part of the dominance / submissive establishing and has the BTA brought this forward as they now have something to fight over?
One fish does seem to see the other one off as the same one usually swims off but it then turns and comes back for more.
