Yesterday I saw this beautiful Christmas wrasse at my lfs and fell in love with it instantly! I did a quick google search and found that its reef safe and peaceful and will get along with other wrasses. I also searched my melanurus to see if it would be okay with it and I found that it should be okay. Well after putting it in the tank my melanurus decideds she wants to chase the new girl all around. She doesn rip her fins or bite her (bc I don't think she can catch her) but there is a bit of chasing going on. The melanurus is about 4-5 inches while the Christmas is 3-4 inches. Is this bullying going to continue until the fish dies or is she just making sure she knows who the boss is? I have dimmed down the light so it's easier for the Xmas to swim around without being seen right away. She still swims around and even swims up to the melanurus as if trying to make peace with her lol what are everyones thoughts and have you kept wrasses together? I have them in a 93g cube tank. Thanks in advance!
