I was intending on building a Maroon clown and rose nem tank but now that Im getting closer to finishing my cycle I have sort of decided to turn it into an aggressive tank or non reef safe fish tank.My mixed reef is wonderful and the fish in it are nice but theres all these other fish I want so heres a list of my probable candidates. Please feel free to tell me if any or all of them are a bad idea.

Maroon Gold Striped Clown w/ Rose nem
Niger Trigger
Huma Trigger
Immaculatus Puffer
Pinkface Wrasse

I am Definetly not experienced by any means but I have a maroon with 2 Niger triggers in my aggressive tank and they do fine. I have some soft corals and the triggers don't mess with any of it. But from what I have read and been told huma triggers are more aggressive and would probably pick at your rose nem. Definetly not a positive but you may look into it since those nems are pretty pricey! Good luck! Also have you ever thought about a lion or an eel? They are reef safe and 2 of my favorite fish on my tank!

From what I no about puffers there going to tear up your coral. They like to nip as well. I had a niger trigger for awhile it was ok with my maron clown an corals. Not to sure about the others.

How big is the tank? IMO, you have 3 fish that will outgrow a 75 (especially the puffer) and the 3 of them together will result in a lot of aggression as they grow.

So which would you stick with?

Maybe pick your favorite, knowing it will outgrow your tank. I believe the puffer & Niger are the slowest growers. I really think hobbyists should stick to fish they can keep & enjoy (at their full potential) for many years. This is a common and sad dilemma; IMO, you have a fairly small tank and big fish just never do that well in them. At least long-term. Countless hobbyists have kept triggers & big puffers in a 75 for years. But, again IMO & IME, it just isn't the best decision. Not only do the bigger fish suffer; but as they grow, your choice of tankmates will dwindle down to zero. Lots of exceptions to hear about, of course.
