I have a Kole tang, who I named JERK, which rules my tank. He bothers everyone and is just a jerk.

I put a mirror in the tank and now he only bothers the mirror.


I am running out of ideas to stop him from picking on others.

Anyone else have a Jerk they want to **** off?

Next step is dropping him into the sump.

Any other ideas? His colors pop, but he is like a live hand granade.
 
He nipped the tail of my Potters Angel. The mirror distracted him and I scooped him up. He now lives in a 180. gallon refugium.

He is a Jerk. Now he lives in an endless buffet of food and algae.

I guess Jerks do get rewarded.
 
Well if you think about it, the other fishes were rewarded too... with the lack of Jerk. I'm sure they're happy now. How big is Jerk btw?
 
got him at 1-2 inches three months ago. He was ok. He is 4+ inches now. I feed 3 times a day and he grew fast. I will never get another Kole Tang. The mirror is a certain evil joy when I get him mad. I hate him, but he is beautiful.
 
I know how you feel, I have a purple Tang that l am ready to trade with a LFS or maybe sell on craigslist. A beauty but has slashed my Regal countless times.
 
It is my experience that all tangs are big jerks. I stopped keeping them. Although I could be tempted by that Achilles.... but they may be the biggest jerks of all!
 
What size tank are they in? I would have guessed the yellow being the boss of the tank not the kole but they way he is slowly backing away from the kole is funny LOL.
I think adding more rocks will definitely help with the aggression.
